Scale & Bone - Preproduction Art
This travel satchel, carried by the main character, Kindra, consists of a small assemblage of supplies: including a health potion, a stamina potion, a map, a book of spells, and an enchanted crystal (the skull is just for decoration), which may be expanded upon in further updates.

This selection of props is meant to only be seen in the film a brief few seconds in its entirety, with each item perhaps being seen more closely for a bit longer. Each item serves a practical purpose, and is intended to pay homage to various RPG video-games featuring similar items.

This particular composition required an extra level of proportional accuracy and realism, so I tried a new tactic by modeling the scene in Blender first, and then rotoscoping the 3D render in Photoshop, adding additional shapes, reflections and details where needed. This approach worked out so well that I've used it various times since.
