The Composers of My Life

This tryptic of wide-screen images features a group of three musical composers who not only have a unique sound that is all their own, but a sound that is so unique, it has transformed the way I think, the way I develop ideas, and the way I craft stories. Their music has character, it has atmosphere, it has a story lying within it. And while Yuji Ohno (at the bottom) has mostly written actual musical scores for film and television, Yanni and Paul's music could also fit very well in a film setting given the right subject matter. If nothing else, then music videos, likely in the style of Fantasia.

Also, this series of images was originally supposed to be stacked as a gradually growing pyramid, but that version never quite came to fruition.

Yanni - Whose music has inspired vivid colorful imagery in my head since I was a small child.

Paul Hardcastle - Whose music has helped keep me motivated and upbeat as I work on many artistic projects.

Yuji Ohno - Whose mellow early smooth jazz compositions have redefined and reshaped my appreciation of jazz and mood music as a whole.
