Tiffany and Sheryll at the Counter

A conceptual exploration for a possible web comic some time ago.
Once again I feature a much older OC, Tiffany Crimson (at right), with her co-worker Sheryll (at left) behind the prize counter at a retro ticket-arcade. Granted, now that we are in an ongoing but nearing a post COVID world, arcades like this seem less likely to still be around. But at one time, this was what I thought might be a great way to revive an older character who had started life as a Kim Possible knockoff.

This is probably one of my most a-typical color schemes, incorporating a range of mauves, deep pinks, and burgundies, to evoke a warmer, 1990s feeling. I also think my design for their uniform shirts is one of my more successful, spur-of-the-moment ideas.

At this time, this was my most difficult inking job. I saved myself some time by having several objects repeat around the space. Even the items in the glass case below are mirrored, the bottom being the opposite of the top. Yet it still took a few days.

I consulted several photos of actual prize counters to remind me of the various things you could get, especially all the small chintzy rubber doodads. I also took note of the cash-register, being that most had been installed in the early to late 80s.
