Shuttle Craft - Int. and Ext. Design

The shuttle craft, featured heavily in my short film, "Bill & Maggie's Intergalactic Taxi Service," changed the most over the course of post production. Initially it was considered to be some sort of moving truck or tow truck, something that would give it the appearance of a worn-down and relatively clunky piece of equipment. Over time it changed into a fire-truck, then a dump truck, until finally becoming a flying mini-van of sorts, as the final model used was a pre-existing base model purchased from DAZ3D to save time. Of course the model was altered somewhat in size to accommodate the framing of the camera shots and the actors inside the vessel, and other 3D models were integrated into the vehicle, including original accent models, to continue the hodgepodge concept that had been the biggest aspect of the Chimera ship.

Brand-new expanded dump truck design with accentual details, including impulse engines and warp-drive coils, street sweeping undercarriage bristles, a broken head-light, and an exterior side trash door.

New flying dump-truck underside design. I don't know if I had decided whether these underside grates were water jets for street-cleaning, or if they were all vacuum tubes to suck up dirt and strewn waste.

Dump truck interior cabin design, featuring a tentacled alien hula-girl figure, a bowl of swirly mints, cleaning supplied, strewn garments, and sliding door compartments. This design, thankfully, is quite similar to the final look in the film.
